Ashlen Roberts, PT, DPT

Hi, my name is Ashlen and I’m a physical therapist! I grew up in Stockton, California prior to attending UC San Diego to earn my Bachelor’s degree in Physiology and Neuroscience in 2017. My fascination with the human body and movement led me to choose physical therapy as a career path. My mom is also a physical therapist, and I had always been inspired by how fun and fulfilling her career was for her.

I graduated from UCSF/SFSU’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program in 2020. Since then I have enjoyed working in a variety of outpatient orthopedic settings with patients of all ages. The first years of my career taught me how valuable manual therapy is, which led me to pursue advanced training in myofascial release techniques. I also have certification in vestibular rehabilitation.

My fulfillment comes from assisting people to meet their goals, whether it’s returning to a hobby, competing in sports, or going on walks with their families. I always tell my patients “your goal is my goal.” Together my patients and I make a plan, problem solve, and celebrate small victories through the course of their rehabilitation.

When I’m not treating patients, I enjoy reading, baking, swimming, and spending time with my husband, daughter, and our yellow Labrador, Sam.
